She was born December 13, 1873 in Germany, the daughter of Matthias and Margaret (Braungart) Dommer . At the age of 13, she came to America and had been a resident of Davis and Wapello counties since that time. She had lived in Ottumwa, for the past 30 years. She was married January 1, 1893 to William G. Roemerman who died in 1914. She was a member of the Wesley Methodist church. Marie Braungart and William G. Roemerman children are: Katherine Roemerman Mildred Roemerman Marguerite Roemerman Edna Roemerman William Roemerman Henry Roemerman Her survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Katherine Walker, Ottumwa; Mrs. Mildred White, Oskalossa; Mrs. Marguerite McCarty, Moulton, and Mrs. Edna Ingram, Washington D.C. She is also survied by 20 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, one brother and four sisters, Peter Dommer, Mrs. Barbara Sallee and Mrs. Margaret Kinsinger, all of Ottumwa; Mrs. Dora Leffler, Blakesburg, and Mrs. Katherine Hulsebus, Clinton, Ohio. She was also preceded in death by two sons, William in 1953 and Henry in 1952 and one grandson, Franklin McCarty who died in World war II. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Johnson funeral chapel in charge of the Rev. Wilson Hyde, pastor of the Wesley Methodist church. Burial will be in Hopewell cemetery. Pallbearers will be Henry Roemerman, Donald Roemerman, Virgil Roemerman, Dean Roemerman, Richard Walker, Carl Walker, Donald Walker and DeWayne McCarty.
