The immediate cause of her death is attributed to heart failure, although it was not known that she was afflicted with heart disease. The remains were laid to rest in the cemetery just south of town Tuesday afternoon. The large concourse of people that followed the remains to the grave was a criterion of the esteem and respect in which this family is held in our community. Numerous floral offerings were in evidence. Personally, we extend our sincere sympathy to the bereaved ones in this their hour of affliction. Deceased was born in Germany January 5, 1846, and was married in Freeport, Ill., November 25, 1866. Twelve children were born to the union of which nine are living, four boys, Charles, Jr., Fred, Ben and William, and five girls, Mrs. Rasch, Mrs. Crow, Mrs. Kueth, Mrs. Schneider and Mrs. Mortensen.
