Bickford, 75, our beloved mother, went into the arms of Jesus on Monday, November 3, 2014, with a strong Christian faith, after a long courageous and positive battle with cancer. She was born on February 4, 1939, to Lester and Sadie (Chevenir) Blodgett. Marie was a hard worker her entire life, working at Norrwock Shoe Company and Keyes Fibre Company for many years. Bickford, 75, our beloved mother, went into the arms of Jesus on Monday, November 3, 2014, with a strong Christian faith, after a long courageous and positive battle with cancer. She was born on February 4, 1939, to Lester and Sadie (Chevenir) Blodgett. Marie was a hard worker her entire life, working at Norrwock Shoe Company and Keyes Fibre Company for many years. After retiring, she loved taking care of people in their homes. Her biggest joy and pride was taking care of her home, inside and out or helping those she could to take care of theirs. She always tried to instill strong ethics and pride in her children, they learned from the best. Later in life, she loved family get-togethers (dessert) and spending time with family. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Roger and Larry; and an infant sister, Romona Blodgett. Surviving are her brothers, Lester Jr. and Thayer Blodgett; her sisters, Laura Brown and Ruby Wallace; her daughter, Anita Wacome, and her husband, Dan Dubois; her sons, Roy Bickford, and his wife, Lil, Randy Bickford, Blaine Bickford and his wife, Robin, and Gary Bickford and his wife, Jessie; her grandchildren, Eric Wacome, and his wife, Kym, Jamie Elliott and her husband, CJ, Chad Bickford, Misty Bickford, Zack Bickford and his wife, Heide, and Jasmine, Catherine and BJ Bickford; her great-grandchildren, Dillon and Braydon Elliott, Abby Wacome, and Teresa and Ariana Bickford; her special granddog, Shadow; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Paul. The family extends the most heartfelt thank-you to Ruby, Laura, and Robin for all their help caring for Marie. Most of all, thank you to all the wonderful hospice angels, especially Lisa, Erica and Deb who helped with keeping mom's life a continuous positive and clean mission. Also all the ladies that sat with mom, thank you. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to HealthReach Hospice, 10 Water St., Suite 307, Waterville, ME 04901.
