Marie Rypka was born on December 25, 1896 in Czechoslovakia. She came to America with her parents to Heaton in 1910 where they farmed. She attended school and received her education in Heaton. Read More	Obituary provided by Contributor: Alison Andrus (48698150) Thank You Mrs. Marie E. Young, 86, of New York Mills, Minn., died Wednesday, July 6, at St. Luke's Hospital, Fargo. Marie Rypka was born on December 25, 1896 in Czechoslovakia. She came to America with her parents to Heaton in 1910 where they farmed. She attended school and received her education in Heaton. She met and later married Willmer Young, the couple were married in 1913 in Fessenden. After their marriage the couple lived on the home farm where they farmed for over 40 years until they retired from farming and sold the farm and moved to New York Mills in 1951 where they have lived for the last 32 years. Marie was a housewife and homemaker. Mr. Young preceded her in death in 1968 and she has maintained her residence in New York Mills since. The survivors are; brother, Frank Rypka, Moorhead; sister, Ada E. Koch, Minneapolis, 2 nieces and 4 nephews.
