Description	:	MARIE ELLEN (OOSTENDORF) OSBORN HUSTON Marie was the daughter of Mae (Collinson) and Wilfred Oostendorf. She was married twice. Her first marriage was to Richard Osborn. Four children were born to this union; Patricia, Richard Jr, Gerald and James Osborn. Marie and Richard later divorced and in 1962 she married Lytle Lewis Huston, son of Edna (Spitznogle) and David Skyler Huston. They were married in Kohoka, Missouri. Four children were born to this union; Patricia, Richard Jr, Gerald and James Osborn. Marie and Richard later divorced and in 1962 she married Lytle Lewis Huston, son of Edna (Spitznogle) and David Skyler Huston. They were married in Kohoka, Missouri. No children were born to this union. They lived the majority of their married life in Wapello, Iowa, where Lytle engaged in farming . Marie worked at the Thatcher Glass/Plastic Pkg Company in Muscatine. In 1972, at the age of 54, She was fatally injured in a tragic highway accident on her way to work one foggy October night. The mishap occured on Stewart Rd, at the Thatcher Glass turnoff, about two and a half miles south of Muscatine. Marie had left her car after it stalled on the highway and it was struck by another car driven by a 23 year old Muscatine man. She was knocked down, sustaining head injuries. She was taken by ambulance to Muscatine General Hospital, then transferred to the University Hospitals, Iowa City where she was treated for her injuries. Marie died the next day from the servere head trauma and multiple skull fractures. Survivors, besides her husband, children and step children included; 20 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; her mother, Mrs. Mae Middleton; a sister, Mrs Dorothy Garvin; and two brother, Wilfred Oostendorf amd LaMoyne Oostendorf.
