Marie Emily Srna Ballou, youngest daughter of Benjamin F and Blanche Krizek Srna, was born Dec. 15, 1917, on a farm southwest of Delphos and died enroute to the Ottawa County Hospital, May 26, 1910, after attending a 40th wedding anniversary party at the Bohemian Hall. Marie Emily Srna Ballou, youngest daughter of Benjamin F and Blanche Krizek Srna, was born Dec. 15, 1917, on a farm southwest of Delphos and died enroute to the Ottawa County Hospital, May 26, 1910, after attending a 40th wedding anniversary party at the Bohemian Hall. Most of her life was spent in the Delphos and Glasco area. She attended school in the country southwest of Delphos and graduated from Delphos High School. In later life she worked as a cook in the Delphos schools ten years, for Ottawa County Welfare Department in Minneapolis several years and later as cook in the Delphos Rest Home. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church, Delphos and Bohemian Hall Lodge. She was married to Art Darrow Sept. 22, 1939, and to this union was born a daughter. Sierra Sue, and two sons, Robert Laven and Dallas Michael. Preceding her in death were her parents and her daughter, Sierra Sue. She was divorced June 11,1974. On Dec. 1, 1977, she was united in marriage to Roger Bailou and moved to Glasco where she lived until her death. Burial will be in the Bohemian Cemterty southwest of Glasco. The family suggests memorials to the Delphos Rest Home. The Dean Funeral Home, Glasco is in charge.
