Born in Denmark Sept, 9 1850. Mrs. Christensen came to America in 1874, and after living in Omaha for a short time moved to Fremont where she married Mr. Christensen Jan 6, 1876. Her maiden name was Mary J Nielsen. She had lived an active life and was a member of the First Lutheran church here, also of the Ladies Aid society of that church. Besides her husband she is survied by three sons, Louis Christensen of Chokie, Minn. Martin Christensen and Otto Christensen of Lodge Pole, one daughter, Mrs. Enest Francis of Hooper, one brother Jacob of Genoa, one sister Mrs. Julius Jensen of Councils Bluffs, Ia., and 11 grandchildren. An uncle, Kute Jacobsen, 96 years old once a resident of Fremont, now is living in Lincoln. Funeral services will be held in the home at 1 o'clock Monday afternnon and at 2 o'clock at the Trinity Lutheran church northwest of Fremont. Burial will be in cemetary of the church. Rev. Niels B Hansen pastor of the First Lutheran church will have charge of the service. ************* Not sure where Marie's maiden name of Nielsen came from and per many family trees on Ancestry.com it is Larson.
