Description	:	Marie Koenig Wittmayer August 30, 1922 - February 17, 2019 Marie Lautt was born August 30, 1922 at Lautt Township, which was named after her grandfather, in Logan County, ND, the daughter of Fred and Margaret (Kranzler) Lautt. She attended school in Logan County and worked on the family farm until marrying John Koenig on April 10, 1941. Marie and John after trying their hand at farming for a few years, moved to Zap and Beulah where they lived most of their married life until John's death in 1986. Together they had a son. Read More	Marie Koenig Wittmayer August 30, 1922 - February 17, 2019 Marie Lautt was born August 30, 1922 at Lautt Township, which was named after her grandfather, in Logan County, ND, the daughter of Fred and Margaret (Kranzler) Lautt. She attended school in Logan County and worked on the family farm until marrying John Koenig on April 10, 1941. Marie and John after trying their hand at farming for a few years, moved to Zap and Beulah where they lived most of their married life until John's death in 1986. Together they had a son. Marie worked as a nurse at the Beulah Community Nursing Home for more than 25 years receiving numerous awards for distinguished service. In 1989, Marie found love for a second time and married Albert Wittmayer at St Paul's Lutheran Church and they had many memorable years farming near Pick City on the Wittmayer family farm until retiring in Hazen. Marie once again renewed her interest in fishing with Albert, a passion that had started with her first husband John. She and Albert also spent many nights playing bingo, a game they both thoroughly enjoyed but especially if they were winning. After Albert died in 2012, Marie moved to Edgewood Senior Living in Bismarck and then onto Edgewood Assisted Living in Jamestown. In both places, she became known as quite a pinochle player winning consistently and posting the highest winning score ever recorded at the facility in Bismarck. Marie was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, John and Albert; three brothers, Walter, Ted, and Harold; and two sisters, Katie Nitschke and Rubie Haag; and a nephew Arnold Lautt.
