We desire to extend our heart-felt thanks to all that assisted in the sickness and death of our little daughter, Marie. C. M. Cottrell and Wife." From the Skidmore Standard, October 16, 1903, page 1: "A Little Bud Transplanted Marie - The infant daughter of Clarence and Mamie Cottrell was born Feb. 21, 1903 and died Oct. 11, 1903, age 7 months and 20 days. Funeral services were held at the home, conducted by Rev. C. B. Campbell, after which the remains were laid to rest in the Groves cemetery. The little one's days were but few on this sinful earth, but she had so enshrined herself in our hearts that it was very hard to give her up. But He who doeth all things well has called her home to dwell with Him where trouble and sorrow never come; and may we strive to live to meet Little Marie at the right hand of our Father in Heaven. - Aunt Maude"
