Description	:	Mrs. Lily Hanna, wife of Loren Hanna, and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Billmeyer, was bom February 19, 1900 at Auburn. She received her education at West Union, and while here professed faith in Jesus Christ as her Saviour and united with the Presbyterian church. After moving to Oelwein, she moved her church membership from Bethel church to the Presbyterian church of Oelwein. June 28, 1923, she was united in marriage to Loren Hanna of Oelwein. Since their marriage they have made their home in Oelwein. Mrs. Hanna died May 25 at the Mercy hospital as the result of injuries sustained when her car in which she was riding was struck by a C. G. W. passenger train... Read More	Mrs. Lily Hanna, wife of Loren Hanna, and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Billmeyer, was bom February 19, 1900 at Auburn. She received her education at West Union, and while here professed faith in Jesus Christ as her Saviour and united with the Presbyterian church. After moving to Oelwein, she moved her church membership from Bethel church to the Presbyterian church of Oelwein. June 28, 1923, she was united in marriage to Loren Hanna of Oelwein. Since their marriage they have made their home in Oelwein. Mrs. Hanna died May 25 at the Mercy hospital as the result of injuries sustained when her car in which she was riding was struck by a C. G. W. passenger train on May 24. Mrs. Hanna was returning from the home of a friend in west Oelwein. When she reached the Seventh street crossing, she stopped to let a freight pass, but evidently .failed to see the passenger approaching from the other direction and ran in front of the oncoming locomotive. She leaves to mourn her death, her husband and little daughter Betty of Oelwein; her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Billmeyer, two sisters, Mrs. Lula Belchner and Miss Laura Billmeyer, one brother Loren Billmeyer and an aged grandfather, Mr. George Burroughs, all of Hawkeye, la. She also leaves a host of friends who feel deeply the loss of this friend and neighbor. Mrs. Hanna died at the age of 27 years, 3 months, and 7 days. She was a kind and devoted wife and daughter and a loving, sympathetic mother. The funeral service was held Friday afternoon at 2:15 from the home and 2:30 from the Presbyterian church. Rev. Austin of the Gospel Baptist church officiating.
