Description	:	We are very sorry to learn of the death of Mrs. Lena Burnett. Mrs. Burnett was formerly Lena Biggert. They had just packed their goods preparatory to moving onto a farm near Strang when she took sick. She was however, not considered serious until yesterday, when Drs. Woods and Mozee were called. Burnett nee Marie Magdalene Beigert, was born in Lee County, Illinois, in the year of our Lord, 1879, where she resided until she came with her parents to Nebraska in 1886. In the beautiful month of June, 1907, the deceased was married to W. E. Burnett. “Man proposes, but God disposes.” Mr. Burnett was just moving from the farm five miles west of Geneva to his new location near Strang. Truly, as the Word tells us, “In the midst of life we are in death.” Everything was in readiness for the family in the new home when the wife was taken sick and in about a week, February 23, at 9 o’clock, passed away, being aged 31 years, 6 months and 2 days. “Be ye therefore also ready.” Among the sorrowing is a little daughter of 11 months. The deceased was a member of the Lutheran Church, having served as organist for several years. She was highly esteemed by all who knew her. The funeral services were held from the Methodist Church this afternoon at 2:30, conducted by Rev. C. L. Myers. Interment was in the Geneva Cemetery. The Geneva Gazette March 2nd, 1911 page 1.
