Marie was born in Ipswich, South Dakota, on June 17th, 1932. She moved with her family to Nampa Idaho at the age of three and lived there through high school. Read More	Marie Magdalene (Englehardt) Dubeau (1932 - 2011) Marie Magdalene (Englehardt) Dubeau passed away on Oct. 7, 2011 at the age of 79. Marie was born in Ipswich, South Dakota, on June 17th, 1932. She moved with her family to Nampa Idaho at the age of three and lived there through high school. She attended Seattle University, where she met her husband, Ray. They were married on July 25, 1953. Ray graduated medical school and was commissioned in the United States Navy. Their first duty station was Kwajalien, Marshall Islands, where Marie raised three babies and delivered a forth. They later lived in Port Orchard, Washington, San Leandro, California, and their final service destination, Camp Pendleton, Ca. They settled in Carlsbad, Ca., which at the time was a sleepy beach town. Marie was very active at St. Patricks Church, were she served on the Parish Council and taught catechism. When the last of her seven children entered school, she went back to school and refreshed her previous degrees. She then went to work for Dr. Richard Wold as an office manager and lab tech. Upon their retirement, Ray and Marie moved back to Washington and split time between there and Mesa, Az.. Marie enjoyed spending time with her friends and a bottle of wine in Carlsbad, and upon retirement her high school girlfriends and a beer in Mesa, Az. She spent countless hours studying genealogy. She was an avid UCLA basketball fan in their glory days, and more recently followed "her guy", Labron James. She found great joy in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a woman of profound conviction, and had no trouble letting you know it. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray, her sister, Donna, and her parents, Anton and Barbara (Usselman) Englehardt. Marie is survived by her seven children, Michael (Irene), Denise (Mike), Mary (Stephen), Michele, who cared for her in her last years, Mark (Debbie), Toni and Jeffrey. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was much loved and will be much missed. But, as was her motto, This, too, shall pass..... A viewing and rosary will be held Monday, Oct. 10th, at 7 pm, at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 5930 Mullen Rd. SE, Lacey, Wa.. A Catholic Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, Oct. 11th, at 9 am, in Saint Michaels Catholic Church, 11th and Boundary SE, Olympia, Wa.
