The Reverend FJ Kopecky of Bruno conducted the services at the home and the Reverend father Blaha of Appleton, said the requiem mass at St. Mary's Church at Appleton and officiated at the burial rights. Music was by the Appleton church choir. Though ailing for several years, death came suddenly from Mrs. Styskal. She had been removed to the David City hospital after pneumonia had said and following a short illness with the flu, and she died there of a heart attack at 7 o'clock on the evening of April 3. Her age was 72 years, six months and 25 days. Marie Fredlich was born on September 8, 1864 at La Crosse, Wisconsin. At the age of 12 she came with her parents to Butler County where they located on a farm in the Appleton community. Her marriage to Maty styskal took place at Abie. They were the parents of 14 children, four of them died in infancy. Two sons, Matt and Paul, also preceded their mother and death. Mrs. Styskal is survived by her husband, three sons, Louis of Omaha and Rudolph and Frank of David City; five daughters, Mrs. Charles (Mary) Kobza of Dwight; Mrs. LJ (Anna) Chladek of Bruno; Mrs Louis (Mollie) Vanous and Mrs Frank (Evelyn) Emerson of David City, 34 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. One brother, Frank Fredlik and one sister, Mrs. Barbara Kucera, Both of David City, also survive. Mr. and Mrs. Styskal has made their home and Bruno since 1927. Mrs. Styskal was a kindly, pleasant woman, industrious and devoted to her husband and children, by whom she will be greatly missed and sincerely mortgage. The sympathy of the entire communities extended to the bereaved. Among those from a distance in the attendance at the funeral or Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Styskal and children of Omaha, Mr. and Mrs. Mike Hamata of Dwight and many relatives and friends from Dwight, David City, Prague and Bruno.
