Description	:	DARLINGTON — Mrs. Marie (Hebert) McGee-Butler, 83, passed away peacefully Sunday, March 22, 2009, after a brief illness. Mrs. Butler was born in Calcasieu, La., on Oct. 23, 1926. She was a daughter of the late Edward Hebert and the late Minnie Goodman Hebert of Calcasieu, La., and was a widow of Andrew J. McGee Jr. and Robert Butler of Woodworth, La. She retired from Wentworth Manufacturing. Mrs. Butler was a member of Betha Baptist Church where she was the church clerk and she was a former member of Sand Hill Free Will Baptist Church. Mrs. Butler was born in Calcasieu, La., on Oct. 23, 1926. She was a daughter of the late Edward Hebert and the late Minnie Goodman Hebert of Calcasieu, La., and was a widow of Andrew J. McGee Jr. and Robert Butler of Woodworth, La. She retired from Wentworth Manufacturing. Mrs. Butler was a member of Betha Baptist Church where she was the church clerk and she was a former member of Sand Hill Free Will Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Alice McGee Smith (Quincy) of Surfside; her son, Andrew Jackson Jackie McGee (Melody) of Florence; four grandchildren, Cindy McGee Hickson of Darlington, Kyle McGee Hunt of Columbia, Amy Smith Shockley of Myrtle Beach and Bryan Thomas Smith of Wake Forest, N.C.; four great-grandchildren, Suzannah Shockley, Joel Thomas Shockley, Heather Hickson Holloway and Brittany Hickson; her great-great-granddaughter, Kaylee Holloway; and her sister, Maxine Stone of Athens, Ala. The family of Mrs. Butler will have visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 25, in Sand Hill Free Will Baptist Church. Funeral services for Mrs. Butler will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Sand Hill Free Will Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Mossy Grove Cemetery.
