Description	:	Marie Mlady Rites Held Funeral services were conducted Thursday morning at Hengstler's Chapel for Mrs. Marie O. Mlady who died Aug. 18 at Lundberg Memorial Hospital. The Rev. Eugene Beye officiated. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were Edw. Cernousek, Alfred Cernousek, Leonard Mlady, William Mlady, Emil Vonacek and Edw. S. Pavlik. Marie O. Nikl was born to Mr. and Mrs. Joseph O. Nikl on Sept. 5, 1895 at Brno, Czechoslovakia. Nikl was born to Mr. and Mrs. Joseph O. Nikl on Sept. 5, 1895 at Brno, Czechoslovakia. As a child she was baptized as a catholic christian. at the age of 17 she and her parents came to the United States and landed in June of 1912. They resided on a farm west of Verdigre. On April 5, 1915 she was united in holy matrimony to Frank J. Mlady of the Pischelville community at the home of her parents. Two children were born to them. They lived on a farm southwest of Verdigre until retiring and moving to Creighton in April of 1948. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on April 5, 1965. She was a member of ZCBJ Lodge in Verdigre for many years. She entered the local hospital on July 6 and was hospitalized for a few weeks. She spent 10 days in the Alpine Village at Verdigre and re-entered the hospital, where she died. Survivors include a son and daughter, Alfred Mlady of Bloomfield and Mrs. Orville (Helen) Hansen of Creighton; 18 grandchildren and one great grandson. Preceding her in death was her husband in June 1965, her parents and two brothers, Joseph and Frank Nikl.
