She was born October 18, 1917 in Hamilton County, near rural Henderson to Isaac C. and Katherina (Siebert) Regier. She attended District #73 east for her elementary education and later earned her G.E.D. diploma, she attended Grace Bible Institute of Omaha, NE in 1944 and graduated with a General Bible Course in 1948. Read More	Marie Regier, age 95 of Henderson, Ne, died Friday, November 9, 2012 at Henderson. She was born October 18, 1917 in Hamilton County, near rural Henderson to Isaac C. and Katherina (Siebert) Regier. She attended District #73 east for her elementary education and later earned her G.E.D. diploma, she attended Grace Bible Institute of Omaha, NE in 1944 and graduated with a General Bible Course in 1948. She accepted Christ at a local Bible School at age 16. Marie also worked in the Henderson area as a housekeeper for area families. After her graduation she and her friend Mary Smith went to Coalgate, Oklahoma and worked for the "Go Ye Mission" for 10 years. Then she came back to Nebraska and she worked at "Back to the Bible" Broadcast for 27 years. In 1990 she and Mary moved to Henderson and enjoyed her retirement by working in her yard and garden and also doing volunteer work at the Henderson Community School. She was baptized at the Bethesda Mennonite Church and later transferred to the Faith Evangelical Church also in Henderson. Her favorite scripture was I Cor. 15: 50-58. She leaves two brothers Alfred Regier of Wichita, KS and Pete (Eleanor) Regier of Surprise, AZ; two sisters Elsie Friesen and Lavina (David) Quiring of Henderson. Also surviving are nephews and nieces, great nephews and nieces, as well as, several great great nephews and nieces. Preceding her in death were her parents, brother Irvin and wife Helen Regier, her sister Matilda and husband Edwin O'Toole, sister-in-law Jeannette Regier, and brother-in-law Jacob E. Friesen. Graveside services are scheduled for 1:45 pm, Tuesday November 13, 2012 at Friesen Cemetery, Henderson. A memorial service will follow at 2:30 pm at the Faith Evangelical Bible Church, Henderson with the Reverend Michael Fink officiating. Metz Funeral Home of York is in charge of the arrangements.
