Description	:	Marie S. Ortmeier, 89, of Fremont, formerly of West Point, died Saturday, Sept. 15, 2007, at Arbor Manor Living Center in Fremont. She was born July 6, 1918, in West Point to Charlie and Katherine (Kreikemeier) Meister. She was born and raised in West Point. She married Casper M. Ortmeier on June 15, 1943, in Monterey. She and her husband farmed near West Point until their retirement in 1981 when they moved to Fremont. Her husband preceded her in death Jan. 3, 2007. Ortmeier, 89, of Fremont, formerly of West Point, died Saturday, Sept. 15, 2007, at Arbor Manor Living Center in Fremont. She was born July 6, 1918, in West Point to Charlie and Katherine (Kreikemeier) Meister. She was born and raised in West Point. She married Casper M. Ortmeier on June 15, 1943, in Monterey. She and her husband farmed near West Point until their retirement in 1981 when they moved to Fremont. Her husband preceded her in death Jan. 3, 2007. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Fremont and St. Joan of Arc Circle at St. Patrick's. She also was a member of several card clubs. Survivors include: a brother-in-law, William Halbur of Hemet, Calif.; and two sisters-in-law, Sophie Ortmeier of West Point and Monica Meister of Corona, Calif. She also was preceded in death by a daughter, four brothers, three sisters and an infant sister. The funeral Mass will be 10:30 am Tuesday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Fremont with the Revs. Paul Ortmeier and Ron Battiato officiating. Visitation will be from 3:30-8 pm today with a public rosary at 7:30 pm, all at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Visitation will continue one hour prior to service time Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Fremont. A memorial has been established to St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
