A memorial Mass will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday (November 25, 2014) at Holy Family Catholic Church, 714 N. Adams, Mason City, with Rev. Neil Manternach, and Rev. Kenneth Gehling, officiating. Inurnment will be in St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery, Dougherty. The family will greet friends one hour prior to services at the church, Tuesday. Memorials may be given to Holy Family Catholic Church or the donor's choice. Marie Therese Williams was born February 7, 1928 at Dougherty, a daughter of Leo T. and Catherine (Geary) Danehy. She was united in marriage to Paul Donavon Stewart in 1946 at Lincoln, Nebraska. She was a 1945 graduate of Holy Family Catholic High School, Mason City. Marie was a nurse's aide at Mercy Hospital for several years and later, worked as the office manager at Coca-Cola Bottling, Mason City. In 1962, she moved to California, where she served as the office manager for Fisher Mold, Corona, California, until retiring at age 72. Following her retirement, she returned to Mason City. An avid reader, Marie enjoyed cooking, she was known for her outstanding bread pudding. Marie was a member of Holy Family Guild, St. Elizabeth Seaton Circle and the American Business Women's Association, Anaheim Chapter, where she served as secretary. She is survived by two daughters, Sharon Marie Stewart, Laguna Woods, CA, Pauline Elaine (George) Johnson, GA; daughter in-law, Pam Stewart, Orange, CA; two sisters, Margaret Danehy Argos, Mason City, Jeanne Argos, Mason City; Grandchildren, Charlene (Chris) Nielsen, Sonya Stewart, Ryan Stewart, Christine (Joe) Sokol, Amber (Chris) Mejia, Katherine (Kurt) Bell; three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Marie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, Paul Patrick Stewart; brother, Leo Francis Danehy and his wife Teresa; sister, Mary E. Barr and her husband Chuck.
