Funeral services were conducted Saturday, May 18, at the United Methodist Church of Plains with the Rev. Constance Sidebottom and the Rev. Jeff Kingery of Plains Alliance Church officiating. Burial folloed in Plains Cemetery. She was born Sept. 11, 1906 at Scotsboro, Ala., to the Rev. William T. and Jenny (Edwards) Davis. Read More	LAMPSHIRE, Marie PLAINS – Marie Virginia Lampshire, 89, of Plains, died Wednesday, May 15, 1996, at Clark Fork Valley Hospital in Plains. Burial folloed in Plains Cemetery. She was born Sept. 11, 1906 at Scotsboro, Ala., to the Rev. William T. and Jenny (Edwards) Davis. She grew up and attended school in several towns in Colorado, where her father was a Baptist minister. She attended college in Colorado and was graduated from Ottawa University at Ottawa, Kan. She worked as the librarian for Ottawa University from 1929 until 1934. She then worked as a registered nurse for several years. Nov. 2, 1940, Marie and William “Jack” Lampshire were married at Grand Junction, Colo. The couple lived at Grand Junction where Marie worked for the Grand Junction Daily Sentinel for three years. In 1949, they moved to Dixon, where they lived until moving to Plains in 1988. Marie was a wonderful homemaker and loved spending her time with her husband and family. Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Jack Lampshire, Plains; two sons, Jack Lampshire Jr., Burns Flat, Okla., and Tom Lampshire and wife, Barbara, Noxon; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Danny; two brothers, and a granddaughter, Jenny. Memorials were suggested to the Shodair Children’s Hospital at Helena. Coffelt-Bunch Funeral Service was in charge of arrangements. Betty Paulsen
