Description	:	Marie Colgan was born to William Weinerth and Julia Ann Rock on October 28, 1896, at Shickley and passed away on July 14, 1986, at the Fillmore County Hospital in Geneva, at the age of 89 years, 8 months and 16 days. She was one of ten children in the family. Marie was married to William George Colgan of Grafton, on May 21, 1924, and to them two children were born. Read More	Marie Colgan was born to William Weinerth and Julia Ann Rock on October 28, 1896, at Shickley and passed away on July 14, 1986, at the Fillmore County Hospital in Geneva, at the age of 89 years, 8 months and 16 days. She was one of ten children in the family. Marie was married to William George Colgan of Grafton, on May 21, 1924, and to them two children were born. After their marriage, Marie and Bill resided on a farm near Grafton and later at Greeley. In 1939 they moved to California, where they resided until 1980, when they returned to live in Geneva. Marie was preceded in death by three brothers, Ed Weinerth of Los Angeles, Ca., WF Weinerth of Salt Lake City, Ut., and Francis Weinerth of Geneva, and by her husband, Bill Colgan, in 1981. She is survived by her son, William of Carnelian Bay, Ca.; and a daughter, Vina Mody of New Dehli, India; sisters, Margaret Hull of Lincoln and Laura Olsen of Safford, Az.; three brothers, Tom Weinerth of Brideland, Ut., Lawrence Weinerth of Shickley, and Clarence Weinerth of Omaha; and two grandsons, Sean and Evan Colgan. Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, July 17, from St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Geneva with Father Walter Banach officiating. Rosary was recited Wednesday evening at Farmer & Son Funeral Home in Geneva. Those serving as pallbearers were brothers Tom and Lawrence Weinerth; grandson, Sean and Evan Colgan, a grandnephew Ronald Krause of Detroit; and Roger Gergen of Schickley Interment was in the St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Geneva.
