Marilyn was born January 17, 1944 to Einer and Helen (Kempke) Svendsen in Lyons, NE. She grew up in Lyons and graduated from Lyons Decatur Northeast High School. Marilyn and her parents moved to Valley, NE and later Fremont. Marilyn married Leslie J. Prusia Jr. To this marriage, their four children were born. Marilyn worked as a caregiver her whole life. She grew up in Lyons and graduated from Lyons Decatur Northeast High School. Marilyn and her parents moved to Valley, NE and later Fremont. Marilyn married Leslie J. Prusia Jr. To this marriage, their four children were born. Marilyn worked as a caregiver her whole life. Marilyn was involved with the resident council at the Gifford Towers in Fremont. She was a Foster Grandparent for the kindergarten children at Clarmar Elementary School for 7 years. Family was very important to Marilyn. She loved to creating projects by crocheting and embroidering, especially Christmas stockings and tea towels. She was a huge Chiefs fan and enjoyed reading. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Ron; and 1 great grandchild. She is survived by her sons, Michael Prusia of Fremont and John (April) Prusia of York, NE; daughters, Deb (Curtis) Lockwood of Fremont and Michelle Schmid of Bellwood, NE; brother, Mel Svendsen of Florida; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
