Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at Anderson Funeral Homes, 405 W. Main St., Marshalltown. Visitation will be 9:30 a.m., until the time of the services at the funeral home. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery. Marilyn was born August 27, 1922 to Harold and Rena (Miller) Elery, in Liscomb, IA. She graduated from Marshalltown High School in 1940. Marilyn was united in marriage to Bill Hatcher on May 29, 1942, in Marshalltown. Marilyn and her husband owned and operated A-C TV Clinic where she served as the office manager. They retired in 1985. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, in Marshalltown. Marilyn was a great cook, enjoyed family gatherings, and the holidays. She had a love for animals. Marilyn enjoyed playing the organ and golf. Marilyn will be missed by her loving husband of 73 years, Bill, a daughter, Becky Hatcher of Marshalltown, a daughter in law, Bev Hatcher of Clemons, a grandson Tracy Hatcher of Marshalltown, and her faithful dog, Abby. She was preceded in death by a son, Terry Hatcher, and her beloved dog, Mindy. Funeral services for Marilyn Hatcher, of Marshalltown, Iowa were held Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at Anderson Funeral Home, 405 W. Main St., Marshalltown. Chaplain Jean Bower was officiant for the service. Casket Bearers were: Don Shafer, Dennis Fulton, Derek Fulton, Dick Faris, Kendall Huehn, Jim Heikens, Marvin Heikens and Don Heikens. Interment took place in the Riverside Cemetery in Marshalltown. Groups in attendance were: Iowa River Hospice and Times Republican Staff. Anderson Funeral Home, 405 W. Main St., Marshalltown, was entrusted with arrangements.
