Description	:	Marilyn Harding, 79, of Grimes died Sunday at Fleur Heights Care Center in Des Moines of complications of a cerebral hemorrhage. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church in Grimes, of which she was a member. Burial will be a Sunny Hill Cemetery in Grimes prior to the time of services. Mrs. Harding was born in Clarinda and had lived there as a youth. She had lived in Washington, D.C. and Sturgeon Bay, Wis. before moving to Grimes in 1946. She was the retired owner and operator of Grimes Preschool and a member of Daughters of Ceres, United Presbyterian Women and Ladies Aide Society. She had been a 4-H leader and Sunday school teacher and enjoyed working with children at her preschool. She is survived by two daughters, Lori Ahmady of Alexandria, VA and Jill Davis of Van Meter; three sons, John, Marc and Richard all of Des Moines; a sister, Martha Fischer of Stillwater, Okla., and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John. The family will receive friends until 1 p.m. after memorial services at the church Saturday. Memorial contributions may be made to her church. Brandt Funeral Home in Dallas Center is handling arrangements.
