Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 24, 2018, at Anderson Funeral Homes, 405 West Main Street in Marshalltown. Marilyn was born on September 29, 1947, to Ted and Viola (Wagner) Church in Marshalltown. She graduated from Marshalltown High School before moving on to attend junior college. Marilyn was united in marriage to Richard Hart in 1968. To this union, their daughter, Tara, was born. They later separated. Marilyn worked as a medical transcriptionist at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, IA, for many years before moving on to work for Wolfe Eye Clinic in Marshalltown. She belonged to the American Kennel Club and had a deep love for Shetland Sheepdogs. Marilyn enjoyed scrapbooking, antiquing, collecting Hallmark ornaments and spending time with her grandchildren. Marilyn is survived by her longtime partner, Gary Warnell, of Marshalltown; a daughter, Tara Gregory, of Reinbeck, IA; four grandchildren: Alyssa, Taylor, Austin and Bryan; and one great granddaughter, Faith. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Richard; her parents and a cousin, Jack Forehand.
