Description	:	NORFOLK — Marilyn J. Schreiber, 85, of Norfolk died Tuesday, April 3, 2012, at Lincoln. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Stonacek Funeral Chapel with burial at Prospect Hill Cemetery and the Rev. John Nelson officiating. Marilyn Jean (Allemang) Schreiber, daughter of Billy and Viola (Dean) Allemang, was born Sept. 30, 1926, on a farm south of Orchard. She attended District 88 School near Orchard. Marilyn Jean (Allemang) Schreiber, daughter of Billy and Viola (Dean) Allemang, was born Sept. 30, 1926, on a farm south of Orchard. She attended District 88 School near Orchard. She later in life received her G.E.D. She was married to Ervin Schreiber on Feb. 24, 1944, in Orchard where they lived at the time. They had two daughters, Darlene Jean and Diane Kay. Ervin and Marilyn moved to Norfolk in 1945 where Ervin worked for the Norfolk Hatchery and Marilyn was a homemaker. She also did alterations for a local Norfolk clothing store. She was a member of Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Norfolk, serving the Lord by helping with Ladies Aid, Altar Guild and the Braille society. She attended many special events for her grandchildren, including plays, recitals, sporting events and programs. She learned to crochet and knit from her mother and spent many years lovingly making afghans, baby blankets, doilies and other beautiful creations for her family and church bazaars. Watching and listening to any Cornhusker sporting event was a favorite pastime as well. She died on Tuesday, April 3, 2012, in the home of her daughter Diane and son-in-law Bill in Lincoln. She was 85. Survivors include one daughter, Diane Daly and son-in-law Bill Holland of Lincoln; four granddaughters, April (Daly) Phillip of Lincoln and Amanda (Daly) Medinger of Sioux City, Iowa, Shelly Wiley of Norfolk and Marsha (Wiley) Schilousky of Norfolk; two brothers, Merle (and Joan) Allemang of Clearwater and Leon (and Carolyn) Allemang of Fremont; four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Ervin and daughter Darlene Beckenhauer; parents Billy and Viola (Dean) Allemang of Clearwater; one sister, Darlene; and three brothers, Hoel, Ted and Donny Allemang, all of Clearwater. Organist will be Terri Hankins with hymns "God Will Take Care of You," "He Touched Me," "Amazing Grace," "What a Friend We Have in Jesus." Casket bearers will be Charlie Allemang, Tim Allemang, Jack Allemang, Jon Allemang, Ryan Medinger, Jarrod Phillip.
