Marilyn Erdmann was born August 5, 1942, the daughter of Herbert and Ida (Huber) Erdmann, in Richardton, North Dakota. Marilyn Erdmann was born August 5, 1942, the daughter of Herbert and Ida (Huber) Erdmann, in Richardton, North Dakota. She was raised and educated in Turtle Lake, ND and graduated from Turtle Lake High School in 1961. On June 18, 1961 she married the love of her life, Robert B. “Bobby” Grosz at Turtle Lake Lutheran Church, in Turtle Lake, ND. Following their marriage they moved to Minot in 1962, at which time their son Wade was born. In 1964 they moved to Minneapolis, MN for a brief time and their son Jeff was born. In 1965, they moved back to Minot, ND. Marilyn then started working part-time as a CNA at Trinity Nursing Home until 1977, when she went through the Trinity LPN Nursing Program and graduated from the program in 1978. She worked full-time until she was forced into retirement due to cancer in 2004 at the age of 62. Marilyn was a beautiful soul both inside and out to the many people she touched. She loved and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter Kayla, who then blessed her with two rambunctious and precious great-grandsons Bryson and Konnor, who brought her so much joy. She also cherished and enjoyed spending time with the many wonderful and close friends she had, the casino trips made, bingo, the card playing and the lunch dates, it all meant so much to her. She was an avid reader and enjoyed embroidering dish towels. She was a member of Bread of Life Lutheran Church, Minot, ND and was more than happy to help out when she could. Surviving family includes: Husband of 58 years, Robert “Bobby” Grosz, Minot, ND; son, Wade (Donna) Grosz, Minot, ND; granddaughter, Kayla (Jason Thurlo) Grosz, Minot, ND; great-grandsons, Bryson and Konnor Thurlo, Minot, ND; along with numerous nieces and nephews. Marilyn is preceded in death by her mother, Ida Swanson; step-father, Howard Swanson (who raised her); father, Herbert Erdmann; son, Jeffrey Grosz; mother-in-law, Sophie (Ziegler) Grosz; father-in-law, Christ Grosz; numerous brothers and sister-in-laws, aunts and uncles.
