In June 1949 she was united in marriage to Donald Raymond Schneberger in Garland, Nebraska. They lived in several places over the years including Washington, DC; Graze Lake, IL; Oakland, CA; Garland, NE; rural Columbus, and rural Shelby before moving into Shelby in 1985. While living in Garland, Marilyn worked for Farmers Mutual Insurance in Lincoln. She was a member of the Stromsburg Lion's Club, and St. Peter Lutheran Church in Gresham. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and two sisters.
