Description	:	Marilyn J. Frederick died on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center having sustained a fall at home two days prior. Marilyn was born in Exira, Iowa on February 5, 1936 to Lee and Marie (Wesack) Frederick. She lived on the family farm north of Exira with her parents and four sisters, first attending country school and then Exira High School graduating in 1954. Marilyn was born in Exira, Iowa on February 5, 1936 to Lee and Marie (Wesack) Frederick. She lived on the family farm north of Exira with her parents and four sisters, first attending country school and then Exira High School graduating in 1954. Marilyn then spread her wings and moved to the big city of Audubon, Iowa. She found employment with the Audubon County Recorder where she worked in clerical support for nearly 30 years. Time marched on, Marilyn left Audubon, and moved to Des Moines, Iowa, where she was with Communications Data Services (CDS). She remained with CDS until retiring and then moved to Johnston, Iowa where she resided until her death. Marilyn had a quiet nature and gentle soul. She was not one to impose upon others. Her only lifetime extravagance was a powder blue 1965 Ford Mustang which gave her many hours of independence and pleasure. She was an accomplished piano and organ player. She enjoyed reading all manner of literature, watching wildlife, and was a meticulous record keeper. She is survived by her sisters, Norma Lee Patterson of Springfield, Oregon, Berdina "Dee" (Maynard) Jayne of Johnston, Iowa and Marcia (Pete) Franklin of Iverness, Florida; a special aunt, Sadie Wesack of Adair, Iowa; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Marjorie Wedemeyer.
