Description	:	M. Joyce Tribbett, 90, of Monticello, IN, went home to be with the Lord on January 23, 2022. She was born on April 3, 1931 in Cass Township, White County, IN to Homer Ray and Mary Ellen (Renwick) Downey. On March 24, 1950, she married Clyde E. She was born on April 3, 1931 in Cass Township, White County, IN to Homer Ray and Mary Ellen (Renwick) Downey. On March 24, 1950, she married Clyde E. Tribbett at the home of her parents east of Buffalo, IN and he preceded her in death on January 17, 2013. Marilyn was a 1949 graduate of Royal Center High School. She worked on the farm with her husband and their family. Later, she worked at Western Sales in Monticello and retired from the Pulaski White Rural Telephone in Star City. Marilyn attended the Zion Bethel Church but had previously been a member of the White Oak UM Church near Headlee for over 50 years, where she played the piano and taught Sunday School classes besides holding various offices. She also played piano for the White County Council on Aging for their church services. Marilyn enjoyed sewing, painting, and the piano. She loved her family dearly. Survivors are four children; 14 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and one sister. She was preceded in death by twin sons, Ronald and Donald Tribbett; a grandson, Rusty Tribbett; two great-grandsons, Jensen and Rivers Tribbett; five sisters - Kathlyn Amey, Janet Downey, Eleanor Deckard, Arlys Bowers and Carol Kestle; and two brothers, Homer Downey and Max Downey. Calling will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Zion Bethel Church, 415 S. Third Street, Monticello, IN with funeral services immediately following at 1:00 PM. Pastors Jeff Messer and Gabriel Tribbett will be officiating. Burial will follow the services at Riverview Cemetery in Monticello, IN.
