Description	:	Marilyn Louise Bolte, of Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Clifford Warren and Emma Loreen (Glazebrook) Brown, was born December 12, 1934, at Grand River, Iowa. She died the day before her 85th birthday on December 11, 2019, at EveryStep Kavanagh House in Des Moines, Iowa. Marilyn grew up and attended school in Grand River, Iowa. Read More	Marilyn Louise Bolte, of Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Clifford Warren and Emma Loreen (Glazebrook) Brown, was born December 12, 1934, at Grand River, Iowa. She died the day before her 85th birthday on December 11, 2019, at EveryStep Kavanagh House in Des Moines, Iowa. Marilyn grew up and attended school in Grand River, Iowa. She lettered in basketball and was very good with free throws. After graduation in 1952, she moved to Des Moines and worked in a downtown office. On December 31, 1953, she married Robert William Bolte. She and Bob were blessed with three children, Vicki, Robert, and Michelle. Marilyn was a full time wife and mother until Michelle started school, then she returned to the workforce as a bookkeeper for Friedman’s Motor in Des Moines. After they closed, she worked for another firm for a short time before her retirement. Bob and Marilyn enjoyed attending their grandchildren’s activities and the time they spent with their family. Marilyn enjoyed baking for her husband, children, and grandchildren. After Bob retired they left Des Moines and moved to Grand River in the early 1990’s. Bob passed away in July of 1994. She enjoyed helping out at the Grand River Community Center, playing cards, and working crossword puzzles. In 2012, Marilyn moved back to Des Moines to be closer to her children. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Bob in 1994; grandson, Josh Vitiritto in 2017; and sister, Shirley Brown. Survivors include her children, Vicki and Rocky Vitiritto of Des Moines, Iowa, Bob and Debbie Bolte of Waukee, Iowa, and Michelle and Gary Crim of Ames, Iowa; grandchildren, Jason & Amy, Amanda & Nick, Eric & Becky, Nick & Jeni, Matt, and Travis & Lesslie; 14 great grandchildren; siblings, Merna & Richard Schwalbe of Grand River, Iowa, Wayne & Suzanne Brown of Pleasant Hill, Iowa, and Irene Merical of Adel, Iowa; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
