Marilyn was predeceased by her husband, Albin, brothers William (in infancy), Robert, Gerald and her parents Edgar and Irene (nee Young) Ellis. Marilyn had many accomplishments including Senior Citizen of the Year, first female President of the Legion and was presented by the Governor General in recognition for her contribution to the First Aid and St. John's Ambulance. Marilyn's family will receive relatives and friends for a casual visitation from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Friday, January 27, 2017 at the Cameron Funeral Home (1106 Yonge St. S, Walkerton). C.W.L. prayers at 2:30 p.m. Legion service at 7:00 p.m. Parish prayers at 8:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial were held on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 11:00 a.m at Sacred Heart Church (221 Victoria Street, Walkerton). Rev. David Weise officiating. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Community Care Access Centre and The Salvation Army would be appreciated by the family. Cards available at the funeral home.
