McMullen and Annie Lee Frazier McMullen, Marilyn was born May 9, 1941 in Colquitt County, Georgia. She married and was the loving wife of 45 years to the late Fred Marion Barfield until his passing in 2011. She was a dedicated homemaker, worked in manufacturing with Toast Master / Ingraham Watch Manufacturing and later with St. Andrews University Café. She served as a member of the Wagram Church of God, loved reading... Read More	Marilyn McMullen Barfield, age 79 of Laurinburg, formerly of Wagram passed away on October 31, 2020. Daughter of the late George R. McMullen and Annie Lee Frazier McMullen, Marilyn was born May 9, 1941 in Colquitt County, Georgia. She married and was the loving wife of 45 years to the late Fred Marion Barfield until his passing in 2011. She was a dedicated homemaker, worked in manufacturing with Toast Master / Ingraham Watch Manufacturing and later with St. Andrews University Café. She served as a member of the Wagram Church of God, loved reading and needle point. Marilyn cherished her family and her time shared with each of them, especially her adoring grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, siblings; W.S. McMullen, Gerald McMullen, and Margaret Wheeler preceded her in death . Marilyn leaves behind her daughters, Lesia B. Pierce (Jack), and Lynette Gibson both of Laurel Hill; five grandchildren, John Holloway, Joshua Pierce, Jessica Gibson, Hannah Lambert, Tripp Gibson; five great grandchildren with one coming soon, and two great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by a host of loving family and devoted friends. Services will be held at graveside in the Spring Hill Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 3, 2020, officiated by Rev.
