Description	:	Marilyn R. Burkhart, 75, of Oakwood, passed away Saturday, November 12, 2016, peacefully at at her home. She was born in Lima, Ohio on September 16, 1941. She was the daughter of the late Russel and Agnes (Bensman) Critten. She married Floyd E. Burkhart on August 16, 1958, and he died February 14, 2011. Marilyn had worked at the Defiance Crescent-News, Service Master and the Leipsic Cannery. She vacationed in Florida and was a member of St. John Catholic Church. Marilyn had worked at the Defiance Crescent-News, Service Master and the Leipsic Cannery. She vacationed in Florida and was a member of St. John Catholic Church. Marilyn will be missed by her daughter, Lisa Burkhart of Defiance; sons, Terry (Connie) Burkhart of Defiance, and Mike Burkhart of Defiance; sisters, Susan Beard of Reading, Michigan, and Rita Shew of Deshler; and brothers, Charles Critten of Leipsic, and Earl Critten of Paulding. She is also survived by five grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas Critten and Larry Critten; and three sisters, Agnes, who died in infancy, Delores Critten and Donna Powell. Visitation is Tuesday, November 15 from 2-6 p.m. at Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home, Defiance. Her memorial service will be at the Lawson-Roessner Funeral Home at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 16, with Deacon Don Meyer officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
