Marilyn Ruth (McGee) Hartman, daughter of Clair Dean McGee and Gertrude Lucille (Reish) McGee was born January 1, 1937 in rural Clarke County, Iowa. Marilyn attended country school in rural Clarke Co., then attended one year at Osceola High School. In 1952, her family moved to Murray and she went to Murray High School and graduated in 1955. Read More	Marilyn Ruth Hartman, 76, of Murray, passed away Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Marilyn Ruth (McGee) Hartman, daughter of Clair Dean McGee and Gertrude Lucille (Reish) McGee was born January 1, 1937 in rural Clarke County, Iowa. Marilyn attended country school in rural Clarke Co., then attended one year at Osceola High School. In 1952, her family moved to Murray and she went to Murray High School and graduated in 1955. On September 7, 1955 Marilyn was united in marriage to Harold Dean Hartman in Mt. Ayr. They settled in rural Clarke Co. until they moved to Harold's family farm after his father's death in 1960. She worked as a homemaker and farmwife. Marilyn loved gardening, canning and reading until her eyesight failed her. She was also a great cook and baker and she collected recipes and enjoyed trying the recipes out. Marilyn was a member of The 7th Day Adventist Church. As a teenager, she was a member of 4-H where she won many ribbons showing sheep. Marilyn is survived by three daughters, Joan (husband Dion) Peters of Cleburne, Tex., Joyce Hartman and Julie Hartman both of Murray: two sisters, Patty (husband Jim) Shea of Loma Linda, Calif. and JoAnn Washburn of Yakima, Wash: two brothers, Ernest (wife Lucy) McGee of Redlands, Calif. and Dean (wife Judy) McGee of Phoenix, Ari.: many nieces and nephews: host of family and friends. She is preceded in death by: her parents: husband Harold in 2003: four sisters in-law, Dorothy Hartman, Florence Hartman, Leona DePaepe and Joan Hartman: five brothers in-law, Orvie Hartman, Herman Hartman, Charles DePaepe, Delbert Hartman and Charles Washburn.
