Read More	Marilyn Sue (Hays) Minard was born on Sunday; February 26, 1950, in Marshalltown; Marshall County, Iowa to Joe and Fern (Caldwell) Hays. She grew up in Beaman, Iowa and graduated from Beaman-Conrad-Liscomb High School in 1968. On Sunday; September 1, 1968, Marilyn was wed to Jerry Minard in Beaman, Iowa. Marilyn and Jerry lived in Strawberry Point, Iowa for many years, moving to Colo in 1975, and then to Liscomb in 1977. Marilyn was a full time mother and also worked at the Trading Post in Liscomb, as well as the Village Inn until her health prevented this. Marilyn was know for her wise cracking sense of humor, her love of her family, especially her grandchildren, as well as her fondness for a good game of Pepper. Marilyn Sue (Hays) Minard, 57, passed away on Friday; March 2, 2007 at Oakview Nursing Home in Conrad; Grundy County, Iowa. Those left to mourn her passing are her loving husband of 38 years, Jerry, her son Tim (Dawn) Minard, their children, Kevin and Paige of Liscomb, her son Ben (Debbie) Minard of Conrad; her mother, Fern Hays Poling of Villa Del Sol in Marshalltown; brothers: Bob (Rita) Hays of Grand Island, NE and Don (Jane) Hays of Albion; sister, Linda (Wayne) Tempel of Lamoille; brother/sister-in-law, Larry (Carol) Minard of Davenport, IA, brother/sister-in-law Terry (Claudia) Minard of Rockford, IL, and several nieces and nephews. Marilyn was preceded in death by her father, Joe Hays; her father/mother-in-law Verdell and Alma Minard; a sister in infancy; niece, Jessica; and nephew, Steve. May they rest in peace. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 4, 2007. Funeral services and a celebration of her life will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Monday; March 5, 2007 at the Liscomb Church of Christ with Pastor Helmer Peterson officiating.
