Mrs. Chris Christensen,Mary ( Marrie) the only one of Mrs. Keldsen's children that is dead, died four years ago on Good Friday. Mrs. Keldsen died on good Friday, April 5, 1912. Mary died April 10th, 1908 Keldsens came to Howard county from Denmark in 1879 and lived near Boelus until ten years ago when they moved here and this has been their home since. Mrs. Keldsen had been sick for three and one-half years and for just one year had been in bed continually, she was a patient sufferer. Friends and neighbors helped, at times, to take care of her, but the greatest help was from from her own daughter, Miss Christina; for the last year she has been continually with her mother day and night and we have heard many say that the work she done for her mother was more than any trained nurse could have done. Mrs. Keldsen was a Christian lady and one of whom nothing but praise and good can be said. She was a kind and loving wife and mother and a true friend. Besides her husband and eight children she leaves one brother, Peter Rasmussen, at Boelus, and a large number of friends, to mourn her loss. The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon, from the Baptist church. A minister from Ord, we did not learn his name, spoke in English and Rev. Pedersen in Danish. The funeral was very largely attended by friends and relatives. All her children were here. We join the many friends in extending condolence to the bereaved family.
