"Mik" was 93 years of age having been born on January 3, 1916 to John E. and Annie Bellstrom Joneson in Manderson, Wyoming. "Mik" had lived in Gothenburg, Nebraska most all of her life and was a graduate of Gothenburg, Nebraska High School in the class of 1933. She taught country school near Farnam, Nebraska. "Mik" later traveled to Chicago. Illinois to receive her Nursing Degree, and then worked for Dr. Stevenson. She was a life long member of the Gothenburg, Nebraska First Baptist Church and was a Sunday School teacher and Choir Director. On October 19, 1936 she married Roy E. Stickelman who preceded her in death in 1988. "Mik" will be remembered for her lovely porcelain dolls and the many hours spent in helping others create their own. In 1995 Mik was awarded Outstanding Citizen by the Gothenburg Chamber of Commerce. She was an "Honorary Pony Express Rider" for the year of 1995. "Mik" survivors are son, Brad Stickelman and his wife Janine; their son Corby and his wife Sherry and their sons Barrett and Decker; a daughter, Sherril Whitaker, and her daughter Stacey Basham and a host of friends and relatives. "Mik" was welcomed into the heavenly home by her parents John and Annie Joneson; husband, Roy E. Strickelman; brothers, Eldon and Wallace Joneson; sisters Alyce Williams and Gretchen Kerr and a grandson Courtney Stickelman.
