Nevenhoven Funeral Home, Brooklyn, was in charge of arrangements. A memorial fund has been established. Marion B. Hendrickson, son of Henry and Jean Irene Lang Hendrickson, was born on a farm near Brooklyn, Iowa, on February 8, 1920. Marion received his education in a rural school and was a graduate of the Brooklyn High School. He started farming northwest of Brooklyn after his formal education and continued farming until his retirement . On November 30, 1947, he was married to Luella Irene Luginbuhl, in Bluffton, Ohio, and she died March 3, 1983. On March 20, 1992, Marion was married to Gladys Beaty in the Methodist Church, Grinnell. They moved to the Mayflower Home in February 1996. Marion was a member of the Madison Church of Christ were he was a Sunday School teacher, deacon and elder. He was a member of the Sons of Norway and Poweshiek County Farm Bureau and was a 4-H leader. Survivors include his wife, Gladys Hendrickson of Grinnell; two sons, Paul Hendrickson and his wife, Janis, of Altoona, and David Hendrickson of Brooklyn; two daughters and their husbands, Linda and Terry Lowry of Searsboro and Rachael and Byron Browder of Altoona; two step-sons, Scott Beaty of Dolores, Colorado and David Beaty of Oskaloosa; one brother, Milton Hendrickson of Phoenix, Arizona; and seven grand children; and one step grand daughter. He was preceded in death by his parents: his wife, Luella; and one son, Larry.
