Read More	From the Bridgton News, page 3, published Friday, April 29, 1910: The death of Mrs. William P. Chandler occurred at her home at the Bridgton Four Corners, Friday of last week, the direct cause of her death being intestinal obstruction. Mrs. Chandler has been particularly unfortunate for the past few years. Sometime ago, while riding with two others in a small carriage, she was thrown from the wagon while the horse was passing an automobile, and her shoulder was broken. She recovered from this only to be stricken by some other mishap. During the late winter of the present year she has been suffering from the effects of blood poisoning. Her friends felt much encouragement over the progress she was making in her recovery from this ailment and this last trouble came suddenly and without warning. Mr. and Mrs. Chandler came to Bridgton some few years ago from Fryeburg, where they bought the Stevens house at Four Corners, which they have resided in ever since, Mr. Chandler being a farmer and lately chiefly interested in the dairy line. They were joined here later by Mrs. Chandler's parents, J. Alvin and Mrs. Jones. Mrs. Chandler was a member of Highland Grange, Patrons of Husbandry, in which she has taken an active and interested part. She was also a member Walker Camp, Royal Neighbors of America, in which organization she carried an insurance policy of $1000. At the time of her death Mrs. Chandler was in her 37th year. She was a woman devoted to her family and to her home, exceedingly popular with her neighbors, always ready to lend a hand wherever she saw that that hand was most needed. Her untimely death is an irreparable loss to her family and she will be sorely missed among the circles in which she moved. Funeral services were held at the late home Sunday, conducted by Rev. L. F. McKinney of this village,--Mrs. Chandler's religious preference being with the Universalists. The remains were carried to Fryeburg where the interment was made in the family lot.
