Read More	Illness Fatal To Marion Parker ''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''' Passes Away Despite Transfusions; Lived Throughout Life In Keosauqua ''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''' **Handwritten: May 1939 Funeral services were held Sunday for Marion Parker, 34-year-old Keosauquan who died last Wednesday night after several months illness with a blood infection. Parker was born in Keosauqua, Oct. 15, 1904 and lived here throughout his life except for six months spent in California. He was married Dec. 25, 1925, to Pauline Casady. To this union, one daughter, Darlene, was born. Known for his cheerfulness and good will, Marion's friends rallied to him when the nature of his illness became known and a large number underwent tests for blood transfusions in the hope of saving his life. The transfusions, however, did not succeed in saving him and he became steadily worse. Besides his wife and daughter, he is survived by his mother, Mrs. Clara Parker; a sister, Mrs. Florence Hall and a number of other relatives. He became a member of the M.C. Church in 1932 during the ministry of M.E. Hayes, serving as a member of the Board of Stewards for a number of years. Source: Van Buren Co.
