Description	:	Mrs. Pardon A. Alderman ... was born June 20, 1849, in Chautauqua county, New York and was the daughter of Ira and Cynthia Lincoln. She came to Johnson County in February, 1865, as the final reverberations of the civil war guns was sounded. As Marian Helen Lincoln she was a student at Iowa university, one of noble tutors being Prof. Amos N. Currier, afterwards dean and acting president of the institution. She was married Sept. 3, 1867, to Mr. Alderman, and they removed to their Scott township farm, and resided there until March, 1904, when they changed their residence to... Read More	Mrs. Pardon A. Mrs. Alderman was called home on April 24, 1917. Surviving ... are two sons -- Jesse I. Alderman and Raymond Pardon Alderman, and a brother and sister -- Perry B.
