He was born June 22 the son of Charles and Effie Mann Newcomer. He was a lifetime area resident and a retired farmer. Mr Newcomer was a member of the Hamilton Church of Christ, the Hamilton IOOF 648, Hamilton Rebekah Lodge 315 and Encampment of Angola, LEA of Angola, and the IOOF of Canton Lodge of Fort Wayne. His wife Juliet and a grandson preceded him in death. Surviving are three daughters Mrs James (Bernadine) Oberlin of Auburn, Mrs Ross (Mable) Baxter of Fort Myers Fla, and Mrs LaRue (Pauline) Schad of Chicago; a brother Harold Newcomer of Hamilton; a sister Gladys Newcomer of Garrett; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday June 19 at the Hamilton Church of Christ with pastor Rev Jeff Strite officiating. The Wilson Funeral Home in Hamilton was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in Hamilton Cemetery.
