Onalee was born August 14, 1915 in Beaverton, Michigan to the late Grover Victor and Leah Betsy (Snyder) Klinkel. Read More	Oberlin Turnbull Funeral Home MARION ONALEE HANES, 95 years, passed away at 2:24 pm Monday May 2, 2011 at Lutheran Life Village Kendallville where she had been a resident the past two years. Onalee was born August 14, 1915 in Beaverton, Michigan to the late Grover Victor and Leah Betsy (Snyder) Klinkel. She was a 1933 graduate of Butler High School and then graduated from International Business College in Fort Wayne in 1935. She married Robert Lyle Hanes on September 4, 1936 in Hamilton. He preceded her in death on October 9, 2000. Onalee and her husband Robert was co-owners of Hanes Electric in Hamilton for 20 years. Ten years later she retired as a bookkeeper from the former General Telephone Company in Angola. She and her family were active members of the Hamilton United Methodist Church. She had formerly been a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She and her husband were very active in her children's lives and many family weekends were spent at their home on Hamilton Lake. They moved to Leesburg, Florida following retirement before returning to Indiana in 2000. Surviving are her three children all of Indiana; six grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Max Klinkel and sister, Frances Cleland and grandson Nicholas Ryan Hillegass. Funeral services for Marion Onalee Hanes will be held at 12:00 noon, Monday May 9, 2011 in the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home & Crematory 3985 East Church Street Hamilton with Pastor Jack Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Cemetery. Visitation for Onalee will begin at 11:00 am Monday in the funeral home and last until the start of services at noon.
