Description	:	Marion was one of eight children born to William and Mariah Ellis Birdsell. By 1873 they were living in Kansas where he met Harriet Malinda Jinks. They were married 6 April 1883 at Red Cloud, Webster County, Nebraska. They had two children while in Kansas . By 1888 they, along with four other families -Harwood, Hargrave, Jinks and Minnie's mother (Elizabeth Dexter Jinks Eldorado)and the son of Elizabeth's daughter Lydia Jinks Brooks. They all moved into the St. John area where they homesteaded. They also added eight more children. Marion died of Brights Disease.
