Mass of Christian Burial will be 2:30 PM Saturday, February 5, 2011 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, Hoven, with Father DeWayne Kayser, celebrant. Inurnment at the Church Cemetery. Maritta Gertrude Hermann, daughter of Gertrude (Gerber) and Mathias Hermann, was born February 25, 1934 at Hoven. Dytc, as many knew her, received her formal education at St. Anthony's Catholic School and Hoven High School. She married John "Jack" Rundall at Hoven on November 27, 1950. They first lived in Virginia while Jack served in the United States Army. Upon his discharge in February 1953, they returned to Hoven. Dytc kept busy raising her family as well as managing the Hoven Municipal Liquor Store with Jack. She later was employed in the laundry department at the Holy Infant Hospital and most recently was employed in the credit card division at the Bank of Hoven (currently Plains Commerce Bank). Jack died on June 7, 1991. Dytc lived the rest of her life in Hoven and had battled cancer since the summer of 2006. She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church, St. Anthony's Altar Society, and the Holy Infant Hospital Auxiliary. Dytc liked raising flowers and most enjoyed visiting with her friends. Dytc is survived by 2 sons—Jeff (Donna) Rundall and Jim Rundall of 1 daughter Janine (Joe), 1 brother Bill Hermann of Hoven; 9 Grandchildren and 9 Great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father on April 20, 1966, her mother on September 9, 1973, her husband, 2 sons (John "Jack" on March 31, 1973 and an infant), 1 brother, and 1 sister. Honorary bearers will be all of Dytc's friends. Lien Funeral Home of Bowdle is in charge of arrangements. Contributor: Sacred Ground (49348254)
