Description	:	In the early evening light, March 26, 2012, our loving mother and grandma, Marjorie Ann Wagner Gratwohl, went to meet her beloved Hank. Marge passed peacefully in the comfort of her home after a short illness. Marge was born Dec. 11, 1931, in Dickinson, N.D., to Joseph Wagner and Helen Martian Wagner. Read More	In the early evening light, March 26, 2012, our loving mother and grandma, Marjorie Ann Wagner Gratwohl, went to meet her beloved Hank. Marge passed peacefully in the comfort of her home after a short illness. Marge was born Dec. 11, 1931, in Dickinson, N.D., to Joseph Wagner and Helen Martian Wagner. Margie's dad died before her birth. Helen later married James Schutzman and the family moved to Laurel. Marge graduated from Laurel High School in May of 1950. One evening walking home from a school dance, she met the love of her life, Henry "Hank" Gratwohl. They married Aug. 12, 1950, and shared 61 happy years together before Hank's passing in October of 2011. To this union were born their devoted children, Doug and Jan. After working several years as a telephone operator, Marge devoted her life as a full-time homemaker. She loved to cook and bake, was a wonderful and caring hostess and no guest left her home hungry. Christmas cookie baking and canning Hank's beautiful garden produce was a favorite family tradition. Marge and Hank enjoyed many happy times camping and fishing, particularly on the Boulder River. She loved to sing and was a member of her church choir and the Deutsche Festpielers singing in many Laurel Herbsfests. She enjoyed quilting, and with her friends and neighbors, made many beautiful quilts over the years. She loved to coffee with the neighborhood ladies and many long-lasting friendships were established. The greatest joy of Marge's life were her children and five grandsons. Each was special to her in their own way. Through cold or hot weather, she was always there to cheer them on at their sporting events. She never missed a musical concert or school program. She was deeply loved by each and every one and will be greatly missed. Marge was preceded in death by her husband, Hank, her parents and brother Tim Wagner. She is survived by her son Dr. Douglas H. Gratwohl (Shannon) and sons Sean and Ryan of Hardin; daughter Jan Scheeler (Lynn) and sons Reno, Luke and Tanner of Laurel; her two sisters Eileen Royer of Laurel and Carol (Duane) Long of Billings; sister-in-law Velma Gratwohl of Laurel; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 30, at 10 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church in Laurel with interment in Laurel Cemetery.
