Description	:	Marjorie B. Fratzke, 104, of Oelwein passed away on Tuesday April 12, 2016 at Oelwein Health Care Center. Visitation will be from 4-7 PM on Sunday April 17, 2016 at the Geilenfeld Funeral Home in Oelwein. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday April 18, 2016 at the Geilenfeld Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Lane officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery at Oelwein. Marjorie Bessie Troxel was born on May 5, 1911 in Garrison, IA the daughter of Enoch Olandrew and Cora Elizabeth (Christy) Troxel. She graduated from Fairbank High School with the class of 1929. She was a member of the Fairbank Girl’s Basketball team and participated in other school activities. Following graduation she attended Iowa State Teacher’s College in Cedar Falls for training to become a teacher. Prior to her marriage, she lived and worked in Waterloo for a short time before teaching in rural schools in Bremer and Buchanan Counties. She was united in marriage to Erwin A. Fratzke on November 28, 1931 in the Methodist Parsonage in Galena, IL. Marjorie was a member of the Eastside Church of Christ, a former member of the Federated Woman’s Club of Oelwein and over the years actively participated in life of the churches she attended. She was a wonderful cook, a seamstress and was a devoted mother to her children. Her family includes her children, Eldon “Ollie” of Oelwein, Enoch and his wife, Marlene of Oelwein, Craig and his wife, Nancy of Alta and Marjanne “Marge" of Oelwein. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 2 step great grandchildren, many great-great grandchildren, 2 step great-great grandchildren, two nieces and numerous extended family members and friends. Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband, Erwin on August 20, 1994, parents, two sons, Theron and Gayle and by two infant children, a brother Hollis, two sisters, Lois Whitehead and Isabel Jacobs, a great grandson Tyler Fratzke, and a grandson Scott in infancy.
