Description	:	Marjorie Christal (Burch) Carr was born on March 6, 1943 to Benjamin Gordon Burch and Maude Marie (Simpson) Burch. She grew up in Grand Ridge, Florida where she attended Grand Ridge High School. It was there she met Arthur Douglas Carr, the man who would hold her heart for the rest of her life. Read More	Marjorie Christal (Burch) Carr was born on March 6, 1943 to Benjamin Gordon Burch and Maude Marie (Simpson) Burch. She grew up in Grand Ridge, Florida where she attended Grand Ridge High School. It was there she met Arthur Douglas Carr, the man who would hold her heart for the rest of her life. Marjorie and Doug were high school sweethearts, homecoming king and queen, and graduated together in 1961. On November 1st of that same year, the couple married and began a life together that would last over half a century. Over the course of fifty-two years, Marjorie was a faithful pastor’s wife and loving mother to their three children. They would later welcome six grandchildren. On May 2, 2013, Doug went to be with the Lord. Just over five years later, on December 8, 2018 Marjorie also went to be with the Lord. Her final days were spent surrounded by family and friends. Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Maude Burch; sisters, Marie Wynn and Edna Bush; and brothers, James and Roy Burch. Survivors include her brother, Fred Burch of Grand Ridge; two sisters, Ruth Carone of Calloway, Florida and Jeannette Lee of Pensacola, Florida; three children: Richard Carr and wife, Susan of Grand Ridge, Florida; Michael John Carr and wife, Lynn of Malone, Florida and Lorie Carr of Ashford, Alabama. Grandchildren include Caleb Carr, Ashley (Carr) Hess and husband, Nicholas; Jonathan Money and wife, Tiffany; Aaron Money, Joshua Carr, and Luke Money. Great-grandchildren include Zoey Allyse Blighton and Remington Zane Money. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at James & Sikes Funeral Home in Marianna, Florida. Interment will follow at Cypress Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home at 9:00 a.m. in the hour preceding the funeral.
