Description	:	Marjorie E. Flory, age 94 years, of Stryker, passed away Sunday evening, September 24, 2017, at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice. She was born August 18, 1923, at Bryan, the daughter of Samuel and Felicia “Nellie” (Clapper) St. John, and married Harley Flory on October 23, 1949. A resident of the Defiance area for many years before moving to Stryker, she was a homemaker and was employed by the Northeastern Local School District at Tinora for 21 years before retiring in 1983. Flory, age 94 years, of Stryker, passed away Sunday evening, September 24, 2017, at CHP Defiance Area Inpatient Hospice. She was born August 18, 1923, at Bryan, the daughter of Samuel and Felicia “Nellie” (Clapper) St. John, and married Harley Flory on October 23, 1949. A resident of the Defiance area for many years before moving to Stryker, she was a homemaker and was employed by the Northeastern Local School District at Tinora for 21 years before retiring in 1983. She enjoyed sewing, reading, gardening and spending time with her family. She was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Dunkard Brethren Church near West Unity. She is survived by her husband, Harley; four children, Linda Flory of Archbold, Ruth Clark of Oakley, KS, Jean Throne of Archbold, and Joe (Lola) Flory of West Unity; 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Edwin (Mattie) St. John of Pioneer, and Dean (Nancy) St. John of Ephrata, PA; and a sister-in-law, Marcella St. John of Bryan. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Clifford St. John; a sister, Viola “Ruth” Kleinhen; and a sister-in-law, Clara St. John. Services will be held on Friday at 10:30 AM at the Pleasant Ridge Dunkard Brethren Church with Elder Dennis St. John, Elder Tom St. John and Brother Ken Brock officiating. Interment will follow in the Poplar Ridge Church of the Brethren Cemetery near Defiance. Friends may call at the Pleasant Ridge Dunkard Brethren Church from 2 – 8 PM on Thursday.
