Born September 20, 1930, in Peoria, Maricopa County, Arizona, she was a daughter of the late Frank D. Bonser and Elizabeth Sarah Foss Bonser. Read More	Marjorie "Elinor" Bonser Lofquist, 87, of Elwood died Saturday, April 28, 2018, at Elwood Care Center in Elwood, Gosper County, Nebraska. Born September 20, 1930, in Peoria, Maricopa County, Arizona, she was a daughter of the late Frank D. Bonser and Elizabeth Sarah Foss Bonser. The family moved to Beaver City, Nebraska, when she was nine months old and in 1941, moved to Holdrege, Nebraska. She was baptized at an early age. She graduated from Holdrege High School, Class of 1948. She was united in marriage August 14, 1948, to Clyde Ray Lofquist in Holdrege, Nebraska. They lived north of Bertrand and east of Elwood, before moving into Elwood in 1964. In May of 1970, they purchased the welding business with one of their sons. The enterprise was later joined by three more sons. Elinor was secretary for 29 years, before retiring in May 1999. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Elwood, T.O.P.S. of Nebraska 771, of Johnson Lake, and Plum Creek Garden Club. She enjoyed quilting, walking, crafts, and family. She is preceded in death by not only her parents, but also her husband; brother, William Dean Bonser; and sisters, Helen Ardis Bonser Hall, Carol June Bonser Broberg and Frances Elizabeth Bonser Capps. Surviving are two daughters; four sons; one sister; 10 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law. Viewing and visitation will be Wednesday, May 2, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., at the First United Methodist Church in Elwood. Funeral services will be Thursday, May 3, 2018, at 11:00 a.m., at the First United Methodist Church, in Elwood, with Pastors Soonil Park and Phyllis Dunlop officiating. Burial will be at Elwood Cemetery, Elwood, Nebraska. Memorials are suggested to the First United Methodist Church of Elwood, Gosper County Senior Center, and American Diabetes Association.
